So I've put some time behind the Amazone D9, well, specifically the 31-row version. To be honest, it's got this no-fuss setup that's actually a relief after dealing with more complicated machines. Just grab the settings chart, work the lever, and you're set. I like that I can play around with the row spacing a little and change things up depending on what I’m seeding. The original German build is pretty clear when you look at it - stuff just works as it should. Those single disc coulters (they call them Roteco, if I got it right) run well, especially in wet fields where other drills just make a mess. Minus is, you're not getting any built-in fertiliser application, which means a bit more juggling with equipment if you want to feed as you go, but for seeding it's solid.

I've had the chance to work with the Amazone D9 and here's my impression. The single-disc coulter system does a decent job in ensuring good seed placement. The clear distinction between sections for grain and small seeds is handy. However, operating the adjustment levers could be smoother for ease during settings. Overall, it's a reliable tool for minimal soil preparation techniques.

Used this model recently during the planting season. Its ability to maintain consistent operation in wet soil conditions is notable. However, a clearer guide for users unfamiliar with the model would be helpful. The telescopic seed tubes ensure uninterrupted seed flow, which is a strong point. In general, well-constructed and functional.

I’ve run a few seeders and the Amazone D9 is simple to use. Single-disc openers (the Roteko-style ones) feed seed cleanly through telescopic tubes. You can run it pretty fast and it still meters well, even in wetter ground it holds moisture and places seed where it should. Setup is basic - use the factory table and the lever to set rate, there’s a wheel key for fine changes. Hydraulics let you shut off sections which I like for headlands. It’s mostly original parts, tires and working bits look solid on this unit. Needs oiling before work, but that’s normal. Not perfect - it’s used and you should check things yourself - but overall it’s easy to work with and predictable in the field.

Used the Amazone D9 for a couple seasons now. Mine’s a 2013 like this one. What stands out for me is how clean the whole thing still is after all these years, no welded bits anywhere on the frame or markers, and the tires are still basically new. I had it hooked up to my tractor with its board computer, which, ok, took a bit to figure out at first but does the job. Seed hoppers keep their paint like they never saw a grain of seed - looks kinda weird but in a good way. Only thing, wish there was more room around the linkage area when hooking up, feels tight in there sometimes. But yeah, haven’t had much trouble with it otherwise, runs solid every spring.
